Meet our emcee!

Meet our emcee! Stewart Smith is an award-winning film critic and journalist who has made Tyler his home for nearly 20 years and 2024 marks the fourth year he has hosted the Tyler Film Festival. He is also a published author, having written extensively about the films of international action star Jean-Claude Van Damme in his book Van Dammage Report.

Thursday, September 12 @ 7 p.m.

Night 1 - We will showcase a variety of student and independent short films. There will be a Q&A with attending filmmakers, cast/crew and our judges. Be sure to stick around for the entire night to cast a vote for your favorite film to win Audience Favorite!

Friday, September 13 @ 7 p.m.

Night 2 - We will showcase a variety of student and independent short films. There will be a Q&A with attending filmmakers, cast/crew and our judges. Be sure to stick around for the entire night to cast a vote for your favorite film to win Audience Favorite!

Saturday, September 14 @ 6 p.m.

Night 3 - We will showcase a variety of student and independent short films. There will be a Q&A with attending filmmakers, cast/crew and our judges. At the end of this night, we will announce the winners!
